CEO

Sans-titre-2

Expert in galenic pharmacology

Pharmacological Engineering, to design biodrugs and make microalgae a new vector of oral/mucosal/topical delivery, will be integrated when first cell lines are produced on a small scale.

Our scientific partners

Our scientific partners are recognized teams in their respective academic fields:

* Our 2 partners in synthetic biology are world‑renowned in microalgae genetics: At the University of Bielefeld (DE), Prof. Kruse heads CeBiTec Algal Biotech and the spin‑out Bio‑Compete IIT GmbH. At University College London (UK), Prof. Purton leads Algal Biotech and spin‑out Synthetica Biotech Ltd.

* our partner in oncology is the world reference for human cytolytic fusion proteins (publications, patents, preclinical trials): at University Cape Town (ZAF), Prof. Barth leads an expert group in targeted immunotherapies.

Stefan_Barth

Stefan Barth

Professor Medical Biotechnology & Immunotherapy at University Cape Town (ZAF).

Medical biotechnologies (antibody, protein engineering, fusion proteins expression. UCT gains access to the intellectual property created by Stefan Barth in his former institution (Fraunhofer IME, DE).

Saul-Purton

Saul Purton

Professor of Algal Biotechnology, University College London (UK).

Structural & Molecular Biology.

Fields of research : biochemistry and cell biology, synthetic biology, industrial biotechnology.

Spin-out enterprise: Synthetica Biotech Ltd.

Olaf Kruse

Olaf Kruse

Professor of Algal Biotechnology, University of Bielefeld (DE).

Fields of research: molecular biology, genetic engineering, bioprocess engineering & fermentation technology.

Research associate: Dr Thomas Baier.

Shareholders collaborators

Felix-Ciceron

Félix Cicéron

PhD in biology

Felix is an expert in the genetic and biological engineering of eukaryotic microalgae. He is currently a researcher at the University of Exeter (UK) at the Living Systems Institute.

Aude Carlier 2

Aude Carlier

(PhD in Biology)

Aude created, with Jean-Paul Cadoret, the company ALGENICS in Nantes (FR), a pioneer in genetic engineering of microalgae, our precusor. Before disappearing in 2016, the company produced and patented therapeutic recombinant proteins (monoclonal antibodies, HIV subunit vaccines, hepatitis C).

Under the aegis of IAΣO, one of the five daughters of Asklepios, the deities of medicine, goddess of healing in Greek mythology.
